You know, why didn't I think of that? LOL! I started taking Vitamin D two days ago, 2000 units/day - I have heard from other survivors who live here in Alaska what a great help it is to reducing the aches and pains. We do not get enough natural daylight to produce enough of Vitamin D so we're deficient a lot, and I understand that cancer treatments makes it even lower and this causes you to move like your 100+ years old when you're deficient. So from other testimonials about how Vitamin D helps with the aches and pains, I'm giving it a shot!

(Note: Please readers, do not do this without your Oncologist's or Doctor's knowledge, I also understand some people are sensitive to Vitamin D so I don't want anyone taking chances :D )

I'm going to do 2000 units/day for about two - three weeks and then reduce to 1000/day. I'll let you know how I feel, and if I get "limber" enough to not waddle or uncurl from the chair like a rusty old spring! ;)

I now tell everyone who asks my age that I am 71. It's amazing how they all think I look good for my age - and explains the slow, painful way I get up from a sitting position. LOL

Amen to that Sistah!! I know I didn't realize when I signed up for this journey ;) that it would make me feel so incredibly ancient some days! Ding dong! The docs and nurses should warn you that some days your body will feel older than your great grandma!

It is disgusting to be so much younger than I feel. The really discouraging part is to know that this is a lifelong thing. Hugs to you!
